Description
Panopto is software for video creation, management and distribution. It is PGCC's resource for storing/managing Zoom recordings for class sessions, staff meetings and virtual campus events. It also supports creation and editing of videos. Once videos are sent to Panopto or recorded directly they are captioned and then stored in a secure online library which can be edited. Recordings can be shared with internal or external users using streaming technology that minimizes the need for high speed internet.
When to use: Use Panopto to record and share Zoom-recorded lectures, presentations, or training videos and tutorials that students or staff can access at any time for on-demand learning. It’s especially helpful for capturing classroom content, training, and organizing video materials securely within Canvas and Panopto Channels.
