Canvas Technical Support

Overview

Canvas is a web-based learning management system, or LMS, used to access and manage course learning materials. Though courses are offered in a variety of modalities (face-to-face, online, remote, and hybrid), all credit courses and most non-credit or Workforce Development and Continuing Education courses will have an online presence in Canvas. 

Please use this request to submit a ticket for any of the following:

  • Canvas login issue
  • Inaccurate All Courses Page issue
  • Zoom lecture issue
  • Panopto Videos issue
  • Respondus Lockdown Browser issue

For all other Canvas-related issues excluding administrative maintenance, please take advantage of the 24/7 Canvas Support options available within Canvas. See directions at the bottom of this page.

How do I submit my request?

Click the “Create Request” button on this page, then fill out the service request form and click "Submit". If you need further assistance submitting your request, please contact the Technology Service Desk at 301-546-0637.

24/7 Canvas Support options

To submit your request to 24/7 Support, while logged into Canvas, click the Help icon (?) in the global navigation bar. At the bottom of the “How can we help you?” pane, select your desired contact method:

Email: Enter a subject and detailed message, and then click “Send Email”.

Call:   Click the “Reveal phone number and reference” button and dial the displayed number by phone.

Chat: Fill out the request form and click “Start Chatting”.
