Canvas Technical Support

Overview

Canvas is a web-based learning management system, or LMS, used to access and manage course learning materials. Though courses are offered in a variety of modalities (face-to-face, online, remote, and hybrid), all credit courses and most non-credit or Workforce Development and Continuing Education courses will have an online presence in Canvas.

Please use this request to submit a ticket for any of the following types of issues:

  • Canvas login issue
  • Inaccurate All Courses Page issue
  • Zoom lecture issue
  • Panopto Videos issue
  • Respondus Lockdown Browser issue

For all other Canvas-related issues excluding administrative maintenance, please take advantage of the 24/7 Canvas Support options available within Canvas. Directions for contacting a Canvas Agent are provided below.

Who is eligible to submit this request?

Both 24/7 Canvas Support and this request form are available for use by students, faculty, and staff.

How do I submit my request?

Options for 24/7 Canvas Support include email, call, and chat. To submit your request to 24/7 Support while logged into Canvas, click the Help icon (?) in the global navigation bar. At the bottom of the “How can we help you?” pane, select your desired contact method.

Email: Enter a subject and detailed message, and then click “Send Email”.

Call:   Click the “Reveal phone number and reference” button and dial the displayed number by phone.

Chat: Fill out the request form and click “Start Chatting”.      

If you are experiencing one of the issue types listed above, click the “Create Request” button on this page, then fill out the service request form and click “Request” to submit. If you need further assistance submitting your request, please contact the Technology Service Desk at 301-546-0637.
