Adobe Spark is a web service that allows you to quickly and easily create pages, posts (graphics), and videos that are viewable on desktop and mobile browsers. Adobe Spark also has three mobile applications (apps) that correspond with each of Spark's functions (Spark Page, Spark Post, and Spark Video) that you can search for in your mobile phone's app store to see if it is available for your device. To date, the mobile applications are available on iOS devices, but should be available soon on Android.
Adobe Spark for Education is what we have deployed at the college. It's the same as Adobe Spark except there is enhanced data privacy, easier login, enhanced control to keep students safe, and premium features for free. Adobe Spark is available to all faculty, staff, and students.
Important Disclaimers
- Upon termination of employee or student status, all content associated with your college-provided Adobe Spark account is deleted. This means you should download content that can be downloaded or replicate any content in a personal Adobe Spark account if you would like to save it for your portfolio.
- Additionally, if you accidentally delete your content, it cannot be retrieved by IT staff.
- Only students who are eligible for email will get an Adobe Spark for Education account. Students who are not eligible can create free Adobe Spark accounts with their personal email addresses.
