The Symbol LS2208 is a handheld scanner that allows you to scan barcodes like those on student ID cards. And, collecting data from the Symbol LS2208 is easy! Follow the steps in this knowledge article to learn how.
Step 1
Assemble your device if you haven't already.
Step 2
Plug the device into one of your computer's USB drives.
Step 3
Open Microsoft Excel.
NOTE: Place the cursor in the cell where each barcode should be entered. For example, in the image shown above, you would move to line 2 (the second cell) before scanning the next barcode.
Step 4
Begin scanning barcodes, and the codes that you scan will automatically populate into the Excel document.
