Microsoft PowerPoint: How To Use the Merge Shapes Feature

The Merge Shapes feature in Microsoft PowerPoint allows you to take multiple shapes and merge them to create unique shapes.

This knowledge article demonstrates how to use the Merge Shapes feature in Microsoft PowerPoint.


Step 1

From the Insert tab, click Shapes and choose a shape.

Step 2

Repeat Step 1 and choose a different shape.

Step 3

Manipulate the shapes by clicking to move them.

Step 4

Press Ctrl+A to select all.

Step 5

From the Format tab, click Merge Shapes then select an option.

The selected shapes are merged into a unique shape.
