Microsoft Word: How To Use the SmartArt Feature

SmartArt enhances and adds impact to your content with graphics.  This functionality is available across the entire Microsoft Office 2016.

This knowledge article demonstrates how to use the SmartArt feature in Microsoft Word 2016.


Step 1

Click Insert then click SmartArt.

Step 2

Choose a SmartArt graphic then click OK.

The SmartArt graphic you choose will be inserted.

Step 3

In the Type your text here field, enter your text. Click each [Text] field to enter the text.

Step 4

To modify the style of the graphic, click one of the SmartArt Styles.

To change the colors of the graphic, click Change Colors.
