Microsoft OneDrive Overview

OneDrive: From File Storage to Seamless Collaboration

Description

Microsoft OneDrive is a cloud storage service that allows users to store, access, and share files, photos, and other documents across multiple devices. It integrates with Windows 11 and Microsoft 365, providing a central location for file storage and synchronization. Users can access their OneDrive files from any device with an internet connection, making it easy to work on documents across different locations.

When to Use: OneDrive is primarily used for storing, syncing, and sharing files in the cloud, accessible from various devices. It's suitable for personal files, draft documents, and one-time sharing needs, while SharePoint is better for team collaboration on shared documents. OneDrive integrates with Microsoft 365 apps like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, allowing real-time collaboration.
