Microsoft Outlook: How to Repair Outlook

This knowledge article is intended for users having trouble logging into Microsoft Outlook. Performing a repair on the Outlook application can fix common issues with the software application.

Step 1

To perform a repair in Outlook, you will first need to close all Microsoft programs. If Skype for Business is running, that app should also be closed by selecting it from the Task menu and then Exit.

 

Step 2

Click the magnifier icon and type “Control Panel” in the Search box and open the App:

            

Step 3

Click on Programs/Uninstall a program:

 

Step 4

Select Microsoft Office Professional Plus, then choose the Change option:

Step 5

Select Quick Repair and click Repair:

 The Outlook application will reconfigure and you should then be able to logon.
