Adobe: How to Install Adobe Creative Cloud

Adobe Creative Cloud is a suite of applications and services from Adobe Inc. that gives you access to a collection of software used for graphic design, video editing, web development, photography, along with a set of mobile applications and also some optional cloud services.

This knowledge article demonstrates how to install the Adobe Creative Cloud suite. (Special note for employees: Please see FAQs for home computer installation instructions)


Step 1

Double click the Creative Cloud desktop icon.

The Installing... dialog appears. Note: The installation process may take from 10 to 20 minutes depending on your computer.

Step 2

Upon completion of the installation, the Creative Cloud window will appear. Type in your PGCC e-mail address then click Continue.

Step 3

Click the Company or School Account option.

Step 4

Type in your PGCC e-mail address and password then click Sign in.

Adobe Creative Cloud will begin to update itself automatically to the newest version. Note: The update process may take from five to 10 minutes depending on your computer.

After the update reaches 100%, the installation window will disappear, however, the update will continue in the background. Note: This part of the update process may take from five to 15 minutes depending on your computer. Please do not attempt to launch Adobe Creative Cloud while you wait.

The program will automatically open and a notification should appear indicating that Creative Cloud has been updated.

Once the Creative Cloud window finishes loading, you are ready to use the program.

Is this accessible on all PGCC laptops?

Yes, the Creative Cloud Desktop icon is available on all PGCC laptops with Global Protect

Is it accessible on PGCC laptops without Global Protect?

Yes, you should be able to sign in to the Creative Cloud website https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps/all/desktop using your PGCC email account. If prompted, you need to select Company or School Account and then enter your password. Click here for more information on how to download or install apps.

Can employees access on home computer?

Yes, you should be able to sign in to the Creative Cloud website https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps/all/desktop using your PGCC email account. If prompted, you need to select Company or School Account and then enter your password. Click here for more information on how to download or install apps.

Is it accessible via Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD)?

No. The Adobe Creative Cloud apps are not available on WVD.

Will students be able use this to access at home when Adobe free trial ends?

No, After the free trial end date, students will no longer be able to access Adobe Creative Cloud from home. However, students will be able to access on computers on-campus.
