Body
Copyleaks, our plagiarism checker tool, now has the option for instructors to "Submit files" or "Submit text" directly (as opposed to automatically through the assignment feature or uploading a file of student work). The direct submit feature makes it easy to check discussion board posts or essay questions on quizzes and tests.
To access Copyleaks, click on "Modules" from the Course Navigation menu:

The Copyleaks Plagiarism Checker will be located in the "Instructor Module (Do Not Publish)"

1. To Submit files directly in CopyLeaks,
Click the "Scan documents" tab.

Then click either "Upload Files" buttons.

A window will appear in order to locate/select the file to upload.
Click Open to upload the file.

Notice the file has been uploaded.
Click "Scan". It will start immediately.

2. To Submit text directly in CopyLeaks,
Click the "Scan Text" tab
Paste the student's text (Insert text here)
Click "Scan". It will start immediately.
Image (below) shows scan is in progress.

Once the scan is complete and the report is ready, you can click on the Open in New Window/Tab icon (green circles) to view the reports.

Note: When using this direct submit feature, be aware that in between processing if this page remains idle for more than 15 minutes, the subsequent submission will report as an error because CopyLeaks timed out. However, the error message does not depict a time out, instead this message appears, "Failed to upload the file due to network problems".
To resolve this issue, simply refresh the page and resume the direct submit.
