All myPGCC site owners are responsible for managing site permissions, which includes adding site managers or editors. This knowledge article addresses how to add colleagues who will assist in maintaining your myPGCC Portal site.
Step 1
Using the latest version of Internet Explorer, navigate to the site, select the gear icon in the upper right of the page, then select Site Settings
Step 2
Select Site permissions from within the Users and Permissions category on the page.
Step 3
Select the check box next to the relevant category if one exists and has the permission level that you wish to grant the users or simply select Grant Permissions.
Step 4
Select SHOW OPTIONS from the modal window that appears.
Step 5
Search the college's people directory, so that you know the first name, middle initial, and last name of the person you want to add.
Step 6
1) Begin typing in the person's name (you may also want to type the middle initial as well if the person has a middle initial and a popular name). The system will automatically begin to query and pull up a list of users.
2) Once the drop down list appears, select the user. Do this multiple times if you have multiple users for whom you intend to grant the same permission level.
NOTE: If you get an error message or no results are returned, try again or you may need to sign back in as Internet Explorer may time you out.
3) Once the person or people's names are added, deselect the option to Send an email invitation if you will manually notify the user(s) or leave it checked if you would like them to be notified by email.
Step 7
Select the drop down arrow to pull up the permission levels.
For more definitions of the permissions, visit this link.
Step 8
Choose the permission level that you wish to grant the user (s).
NOTE: If you plan to provide different levels of permissions to the users, you'll need to add them one-by-one or in batches based upon who will have the same permissions.
Step 9
Select the blue Share button to grant the selected permissions.
Step 10
Verify that the user that has been added has the level of permissions desired.
