An application shortcut is a icon that points to a computer program. It allows you to create links to programs on your Desktop for easy access.
Following are steps how to create an Application Shortcut on the Desktop.
Step 1.
Right-click on the desktop
Step 2.
Click New --> Shortcut
Step 3.
Step 4.
Click Browse and navigate to the computer Application’s .exe file (For Example: chrome.exe for Google application).
Step 5.
Click on This PC (as shown in the Picture)
Step 6.
Click on Local Disk (C:)
Step 7.
Click on Program Files (x86)
Step 8.
Navigate to Application Program .EXE file (for Example: Chrome.exe as shown in the picture)
Step 9.
Click Ok (Now you have your complete path to your Google application)
Step 10.
Click Next to continue
Step 11.
Type a name for the desktop shortcut for the application (for Example: Google as shown in the picture.)
Step 12.
Click Finish
