If a quiz that uses LockDown Browser is copied from another course, the instructor will need to select the Lockdown Browser link in the course the quiz was copied into. If the link is not clicked on by the instructor, when students go to take the quiz, they will receive an error: "Error: Course (MONITOR_ENABLED), EXAM (0X01000e) - Could not connect to Respondus server (AWS) for the course or exam settings." The solution for this error is to select the link as shown below to initialize the course with Respondus. An alternate version of this error is "Error: Unable to continue - Exam title states a webcam must be used, but the exam settings don't indicate it is selected."
Step 1
After importing content that includes quizzes that use Respondus Lockdown Browser, you must click on the LockDown Browser link in your 'new' course before students go to take the quiz. If you skip this step, students may receive an error when they go to take the quiz.
