This Knowledge Article will show you how to show or hide course navigation links from students from within your Canvas course. For this example, the Quizzes link will be used. This works the same for all navigation links in the course. For Best Practices, the Quizzes and Assignment navigation links should be hidden from students. You will link to an assignment or quiz from within the Modules area.
Step 1
Go into your course. Click on the Settings link at the bottom of the course navigation:

At the top of Settings, click on Navigation.
Step 3
Left click on the link you want to hide from students and drag it under where it says 'Drag items here to hide them from students'.
Step 4
Scroll to the bottom and click Save.
NOTE: To make course navigation links visible that are currently hidden from students, drag the link from under the 'Drag items here to hide them from students' to above that area to the spot you want it displayed and click Save. Any link above the 'Drag items here to hide them from students' area is visible to students.
