This article will show you how to rename your presence, change or apply your background, and change your profile picture while in a Zoom session.
Renaming
Step 1
As a host, you can rename yourself at any time. If you wish to allow your students or attendees in a meeting to rename themselves, you need to be sure the ability to Rename Themselves is enabled from the Security tab at the bottom of the Zoom session window as shown below.
Step 2
From here participants should open the participants window, find their name, on the right side, under More, then Rename as show below:
Change or Apply Your Background
Step 1
Click on the green shield with a checkmark icon on the top left of the screen as highlighted by the arrow below.
Step 2
Navigate to the gear wheel on the upper right corner of the popup.

From the Settings menu choose Backgrounds & Filters:

You will notice that there have been backgrounds uploaded by the College for you to choose from. You may add any additional image of your own by clicking on the plus sign on the right just above the background options. Next to the Vitual Backgrounds tab is the Video Filters tab that you can choose if you are interested in also adding a filter to your image.
Changing your Profile Picture
Step 1
Click on the green shield with a checkmark icon on the top left of the screen as highlighted by the arrow below.

Navigate to the gear wheel on the upper right corner of the popup.

From the Settings menu choose Profile:

The profile option on the left navigation, you will select Edit my Profile under the current image. This will take you to the Zoom web access through your default browser. From here you will have to sign into your PGCC account. Choose the Profile option. From here you can change the text, or hover over the image and the option to edit the image will appear.
Step 5
The next option to select is Change. This will give you access to the files on your machine and you should navigate to the picture of your choosing, select it, and then click on the Save button on the right when you finalize your selection. You can delete the image as well, which will result in the system default for the account.
