Zoom Web Conference

The College utilizes Zoom Video Communications for large scale conferencing or Webinars, which can be requested by faculty and staff. Zoom may be used for hosting online classes, meetings, advising, tutorials, online office hours, connecting with subject-matter experts, group work and more.

A Zoom user account is needed to schedule, host, or moderate a Zoom meeting; however, an account is not needed to attend a meeting. A limited number of licensed accounts are available to PGCC faculty and staff. Accounts will be monitored periodically to verify usage. Any unused accounts will reduce to a basic (free) account to provide the higher level of Zoom services to another user.

Requests are prioritized on a first come first served basis. Service requests must be received by the Classroom and Event Technology (CET) department a minimum of 3 business days in advance. Prior to submitting your web conference request, please acquire your meeting location and add 30 minutes for setup and 30 minutes for breakdown to your web conference start and end times.

Common types of requests:

  • Zoom user account
  • Zoom webinar up to 1000 participants with technical support
  • Zoom conference up to 500 participants with technical support
  • Audio conference bridge on a specific date and time
