Microsoft Outlook: How to Embed an Image in an Email

Body

You have a wonderful image that you have taken or created such as a photograph, graphic, or e-flyer!  You want it to be seen by those to whom you intend to send it!  So, instead of attaching it and thus requiring the recipient(s) to click to open it, embed it directly in the body of the email message!  This will help ensure that it is seen by more viewers.

The steps below walk you through how to do so.

Step 1

From the Home tab, select New Email.

NOTE: There are other types of content that you can insert that will also be shown within the Insert tab, such as tables, online pictures, shapes, and more!

Step 4

From your computer, select the picture that you’d like to insert.

Find and select the file.

Step 5

If necessary, use the handles that appear around the picture to adjust the size.
