Body
The need for managing the use of technology in today’s modern classrooms has never been greater where PC-savvy students present several challenges. NetSupport School is utilized in many classrooms and in the open computer labs across the campus. NetSupport provides both control and support to computer-led instruction, ensuring students are spending time on assigned tasks rather than allowing them to use the equipment as an extension of their social life! We will review the most commonly used features of the application.
Opening NetSupport
In classrooms that have NetSupport installed you will find a NetSupport Tutor icon on the desktop of the instructor station. To open NetSupport, click the icon.
When NetSupport opens, it connects to all of the computers that are ON in the classroom. Students are inevitably late to class and if NetSupport is open prior to them turning on the computer, you will need to close and reopen NetSupport to ensure that you are viewing all of the students who are logged into computers. NetSupport will open to the Student List view.
Note: In the image, the one student that is grayed out in the row indicates a computer that is not turned ON. The red icons on either side of each student indicate that some Internet access and applications are blocked from student use.
