Owl Link: How to Search the Course Catalog Using Advanced Search (Continuing Education)

There are multiple methods you can use to search the Course Catalog. You can search by keywords, subject or perform an advanced search using specific criteria. Use the Advanced Search feature to aid in searching for specific terms, schedules, locations and/or days.

This knowledge article demonstrates how to search the Course Catalog using the Advanced Search feature.


Step 1

While logged into Owl Link, click Course Catalog on the Home page.

The Search for Courses and Course Sections screen appears.

Step 2

Click the Academic Level drop-down list and select Continuing Education Level. This shows all Continuing Education courses.

OR

Click the Term drop-down list and select your desired term, e.g. C E Spring 2021. Note: Selecting any term which begins with "C E" displays all Continuing Education courses for that specific term.

Step 3

Scroll down and click Search.

The search results are displayed. To narrow down the results, apply additional filters such as Availability, Locations, etc. To hide the filters pane, click Hide.

Step 5

Locate your desired course then click Add.

The Section Details dialog appears. Click Add Section.

A notification message appears at the top of rhe screen, the Add button is disabled, and the course displays as Planned.

Step 7

To return to the Course Catalog landing page, click the Back to Course Catalog link.
